I have specialist experience in the areas of relationships, couple counselling, bereavement, mid-life crisis, depression, stress, anxiety and personal identity issues, trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder and the prevention of PTSD, and counselling young people.
I have been involved academically in on-going research on the emotional consequences of adoption in the adopted adult, which also may be applicable to any orphaned or abandoned adult and anyone who is not aware of his/her genetic parents.
A therapist is helped by having a broad experience of life. I have worked in the corporate world, in education and in the media and have met with business, political and scientific leaders. I have worked in the USA, Europe and in Russia and Siberia.
The knowledge I have gained may sometimes be useful; the wisdom I have gleaned is integral to my role as a psychotherapist.
